ABOUT US
Diamond Diva Empowerment Foundation (2DEF) is a nonprofit organization, formed in 2016 in the State of Missouri, dedicated to educating, strengthening, and empowering survivors and children affected by domestic violence and various socio-economic conditions. These conditions limit them from gaining and maintaining self-sufficiency, which prevents them from being successful and sustainable members of our community.
Our mission is to be an essential resource to survivors; primarily focusing on those who have experienced the effects of domestic violence. We will accomplish this by aiding survivors to rebuild from the inside out and to re-evaluate themselves. Through our program survivors can freely walk a journey of life, truly recovered and healed from domestic violence and other socioeconomic struggles. It is our hope that by providing various resources, services, and initiatives, we will inspire, uplift, and empower those we serve and the communities we serve in. Our current programs are:
-
Pathways to Housing Program (P2HO) is an economic housing stabilization program geared toward assisting survivors transitioning from domestic violence with obtaining services, skills, and resources that will allow them to move from victim to survivor. P2HO focuses on three areas emergency shelter, housing/rental assistance (stabilization services), and other emergency services.
-
Pathways to Healing Program (P2HE) provides Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy & Creative Arts Therapy as a part of our mental health wellness and counseling services program. P2HE seeks to address issues of trauma, the effects of violence and to reduce the transference of cyclical and generational trauma in victims of domestic violence.
-
Pathways to Brightness Program (P2B) is an educational platform tailored to empower survivors by addressing the challenges they face after leaving an abusive relationship. It provides resources to help them heal emotionally, build resilience, and develop the skills needed to thrive in their personal and professional lives.
-
Pathways to Prosperity Program (P2P) is a transformative cohort, designed to equip survivors with the entrepreneurial skills and career development resources needed for long-term self-sufficiency. By fostering both business and personal growth, this program helps individuals set and achieve sustainable goals, reducing the risk of returning to unstable, violent relationships.
